Enderun Extension offers a version of its Hospitality Certificate Program (HCP) especially for international students. The HCP for International Students combines essential training in Hospitality with additional instruction in ESL and Hospitality ESL. The objective of the program is to prepare international students for internships at one of Enderun’s Industry Partners in the Philippines or in the Asia-Pacific region.

Students will earn Certificates in:
· Hospitality ESL
· Customer Service Excellence
· Food & Beverage Management
· Room Operations

Students who successfully complete the program will have the option to enroll in Enderun Extension’s Internship Program.

 

Program Details

The Hospitality Certificate Program consists of five courses taken over a period of eight weeks.

Students have scheduled classes four days a week from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Wednesday afternoons are reserved for review of homework and self-study in the college’s Language Laboratory.

The Enderun Internship Program provides students the opportunity to put into practice the theories and concepts they have been taught and have practiced in the classroom.

All students accepted into the HCP program will be sent on internship; however, Enderun Extension cannot guarantee exactly which hotel the student will work or at which position.

Internships are typically between 3 and 6 months in length. Positions may vary from front office, housekeeping to F&B wait staff and kitchen assistants.

The terms vary per hotel and per location. Below are some examples of typical arrangements. Please contact the Enderun Extension Office for more details.

Internships in the Philippines
· Typical duration: 3 months
· Compensation: No allowance, however, duty meals are provided. Some properties provide housing, but this is not always the case.
· Type of hotel: 4 and 5 star properties. See list of participating hotels below.

Internships in China
· Typical duration: 6 months
· Compensation: Allowance of RMB 800, duty meals and housing are included.
· Type of hotel: Properties managed by the InterContinental Hotel Group, such as Hotel InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, and Holiday Inn.

Internships in Australia
· Typical duration: 3 to 6 months
· Compensation: Minimum wage and duty meals are included. Housing is provided if place of internship is in a non-urban area.
· Type of hotel: 4 and 5 star properties.
