Your learning experience will include the following:
- Free use of The Study Estancia learning space where peer learning, mentorship, and other meetup events may transpire. Your learning experience may also be completely carried out virtually at this time.
- High-definition video lectures with accompanying downloadable course material
- Guided, step-by-step practical exercises with guidance on how to develop your own portfolio
- A dedicated course manager, available to support you during your study and assist with any administrative related queries
- A dedicated Slack channel that allows you to interact with fellow students
- Monthly class discussions with our high-caliber trainers and mentors
What are the certification assessment mechanics?
The assessment is based on a computer-based examination. It will measure your knowledge and UX design expertise following completion of all lessons and submission of your course project work. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes.
The assessment platform includes a number of security features that will require you to verify your identity. This helps ensure the credibility and value of the certification that you’ll receive.
What are the admissions criteria?
Students are admitted on a case-by-case basis after a consultation with one of our Education Advisors.
Key factors we’ll discuss with you include:
You don’t need experience in design or technology to enroll in our courses, although having one or both is a definite bonus. Our students come from a diverse mix of backgrounds, including project management, development, graphic design, product management, business analysis, and so on.
You do need to be motivated and committed. We set a high bar. Studying for one of our professional qualifications requires a certain amount of time, energy, and focus. Our team will be there to support you along every step of the way, but success will come as a result of your own diligence.
Will I get assigned a mentor?
Yes. Each course has a dedicated mentor. All our mentors are top-class UX professionals with many years of experience working in the field both in the Philippines and abroad. Your mentor will host your monthly webinars and will be available during those sessions to answer questions, review projects, and keep you motivated.
How will I communicate with my classmates and mentors?
A slack channel will be created for each batch of students in order for you to communicate with your classmates, mentors, as well as the administrative staff. You will also be invited to join the global slack channel where you can meet fellow UX Designers from all over the world. Currently, there are about 2,000 members.
Will I be able to build a portfolio?
Yes. Practical work is a huge part of the course. For the Professional Diploma in UX Design, there are a total of 16 projects to give you hands-on experience on all the key aspects of UX. Each project is part of a single case study – researching, designing and prototyping a website or a mobile app. The output will be a portfolio of work that will showcase your skills and experience in UX.
Will I work with a team?
Yes, if you want to. Each course is limited to a maximum of 75 people. This allows you to build relationships with your fellow students on a dedicated Slack channel and collaborate on projects and study time.
How long is the course?
The program will follow a structured 6-month time period with deadlines.
