Course Description
The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) Exam Preparation Course and Certification provides structured review and application of the knowledge areas and professional terminology required for an entry-level project-management certification pathway. The course combines instructor-led discussion, guided reading, concept review, case application, practice questions, mock assessments, and targeted feedback. English-language support will continue concurrently so that the participant can understand examination terminology, interpret scenarios, explain reasoning, and apply concepts in professional contexts.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:
- Explain fundamental project management concepts, principles, project life cycles, roles, responsibilities, processes, and project environments.
- Differentiate predictive and adaptive project management approaches and determine when each approach is appropriate.
- Apply essential project planning concepts involving scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, risk, stakeholders, communication, and project closure.
- Apply key predictive project management tools and techniques, including WBS, work packages, critical path analysis, quality and integration management plans, and cost and schedule variance calculations.
- Apply agile/adaptive principles and practices, including iteration planning, project tracking, prioritization, adaptive artifacts, and commonly used agile frameworks and methodologies.
- Apply business analysis practices involving stakeholder roles and communication, requirements elicitation, requirements traceability, product backlogs, product roadmaps, releases, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze project situations and apply appropriate project management and business analysis tools, techniques, and problem-solving approaches.
- Apply PMI-aligned knowledge and skills in preparation for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® examination.
- Apply PMI-aligned knowledge, critical thinking, and situational judgment in preparation for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® examination.
Learning Format: Instructor-led Learning (HyFlex)
The CAPM® class includes 5 instructor-led Hy-Flex (Hybrid/Flexible) sessions, scheduled weekly during the first month of the course. Additionally, there will be hybrid review sessions to reinforce and practice the lessons learned. Students are encouraged to proactively connect with their instructor to catch up on any missed sessions.

Stephen John Gonzales, RN, PMP®
Stephen John Gonzales is a healthcare professional and Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He brings over 10 years of experience in Operations Management and more than 9 years of experience in Project Management.
He specializes in managing solution design for new and prospective clients across APAC service delivery, defining strategic operating models, and leading project management and implementation initiatives that bring solutions from concept to execution. He is also a member and volunteer of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Philippines Chapter.
